Everywhere!

I've been painting so many birds lately. I've designed my own lil character, and I've kinda been running with it. It's nice to paint something that I completely thought up on my own, and not just some ideally posed blue bird from a Birds and Blooms magazine like everyone seems to adore... To be quite frank, I hate painting birds from those magazines, but my Dad seems to love them. So I continue to crank them out. Sigh. The people in my watercolor class (whom are all over the age of 60) seem to enjoy my little bird character though. They think it's hilarious, and I really enjoy seeing their reaction to it. That class is so much fun. And old people have the greatest stories and jokes, I swear.

OH! I just went to a gallery opening in the city where one of my paintings is being displayed! It was so exciting. My painting was the largest one, so it was the centerpiece of the gallery. Oh my goodness, excitement.
